Broadcasting years.

 

During his career Marty covered 12 Boston marathons.

In 2000 Liquori rejoined NBC for the Sydney Olympics and continued with NBC though the 2004 Games in Athens.

Liquori continues his involvement with ML Productions  which was formed in 1989 to cover endurance sports. ML Productions has produced over 175 shows  for  ESPN. Sponsors have included Reebok, Danskin, Saucony, Upjohn, McDonalds, Bausch and Lomb, Glaxo,  and Powerbar.

Marty Liquoris broadcasting career began by accident in 1972. A foot injury which kept him from running in the Munich Olympics resulted in a job with ABC Sports as a commentator on the distance events.

Twenty five years later Marty had covered more than 100 shows with ABC including the 1972,76 and 84 Olympic games, numerous NCAA Championships, 8 Ironman Triathlon Championships, and 12 NYC Marathons .

 

In 1988 a planned thirteen week series called "Running and Racing" on ESPN continued for fourteen years from 1988 until 2002.

In 1988 Liquori hosted the Sundance Gran Prix of Cycling on ESPN.

In 1996 and 1997, Liquori produced and hosted Fitness Adventures on The Outdoor Life Network (Now VERSUS).  Fitness Adventures featured Marty learning a new fitness activity each show.  Some of the sports included Windsurfing, Equestrian, Donkey racing and cross country skiing.

 

                       Liquori covered the 1988 Olympics for ABC Radio  

                        and in 1992 hosted the Track and Field coverage for 

                         NBCs Triple cast. The Atlanta Olympics in 1996 saw 

                             Liquori once again working for ABC Radio.
